2004 Summer Chinese Story Telling Contest

Chinese School Association in the United States is hosting a Chinese Story Contest in the Summer 2004.  Motorola Asia Business Council and Xilin Fenghua Chinese School are co-sponsoring this culture driven and fun event.  The Contest will be held on July 31st, 2004 in the Ela Area Public Library, Lake Zurich, Illinois.

 

The purpose of this event is to enrich students’ summer reading activities and promote study of Chinese language and Chinese culture. The event is also part of the celebration of CSAUS’s 10-year anniversary. The contest is open to all preschooler to high school students. Grouping and their requirements are as follows:

            Participants will need to hand in their written text on the day of contest. They shall be able to speak fluently in Chinese in telling their story. All participants will receive certificates and rewards. Three winners will be chosen from each age group and they will receive winner awards from CSAUS, the main organizer. Students who plan to attend need to sign up via email at info@fenghuaschool.org no later than July 25, 2004.  Questions can also be addressed to the above email address.
